The Flyers rounded out their 2024-25 season with an outstanding postseason run, as 17 wrestlers advanced to the NSCHSAA League Championship Tournament and nine placed in the prestigious event, which was held in Chaminade's Activity-Athletic Center on February 9.

Their collective effort led to a fourth-place team finish at the event, capping off an impressive season for Chaminade's program. 

Several Flyers had strong showings, showcasing the depth and talent of the team. These included:

• Chase Berkowitz (101 lbs.) – second place

• Anthony DeRidder (101 lbs.) – fourth place

• Lucas Griffin (108 lbs.) – fifth place

• Finnegan O'Brien (124 lbs.) – first place

• Louis Kennedy (124 lbs.) – third place

• Jake Nieto (131 lbs.) – second place

• Brendon Katimbang (145 lbs.) – second place

• Christopher Ferranti (160 lbs.) – fourth place

• Nathaniel Fabunan (215 lbs.) – third place

Among these standout performers, it was the freshman O'Brien (124 lbs.) who captured the Flyers' only gold and earned himself a spot at the NYSPHSAA State Tournament, which was held in Albany on February 28.

O'Brien carried his momentum from Mineola into Public States, where he wrestled with grit and determination against the top wrestlers in New York. Battling through a tough bracket, he delivered an outstanding performance, securing an impressive third-place finish at the tournament.

In addition to O'Brien's individual success, the CHSAA section made history at the NYSPHSAA Division I Public State Championships. Scoring 229 team points, the CHSAA secured a third-place finish - the highest in section history. 

Buoyed by these accomplishments, the Flyers continue to build on their legacy and set the stage for even greater achievements next season.
